This is a great little series, a spin off from a HUGE movie franchise. Unless you have been on the planet zog for the last few years or were perhaps born in the 1990s then 'The Terminator' and its sequels have pushed the boundaries and set a lot of the agenda for all things science fiction and a dystopian future where things (namely computers and machines) have gone wrong (read revolted and rebelled).

The Sarah Connor Chronicles follows a young John Connor, played here by Thomas Dekker in the days shortly after the events of 'Terminator 2.' He is aided, assisted, protected and taught how to become the great leader of the resistance by his mother, Sarah ( '300's' Lena Headey) and 'Firefly' and 'Dollhouses'' Summer Glau as Cameron Phillips.

John must stay under the US Government's radar as well as bring about the demise of hated company Skynet to avoid Armageddon.

With strong convincing acting and excellent production values this is a superior sci fi television show.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles can be seen on Fridays at 10pm on Virgin and at 11pm on Virgin +1. Don't miss!

Perhaps more incredibly the resident of 221B Baker Street still endures as a popular and instantly recognizable character today nearly eighty years after Doyle’s passing.
