Friday sees the weekend start with a travel show with a difference. Yes Karl Pilkington friend of Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant is back for more comic mishaps and cultural observations in ‘An Idiot Abroad 2.’ Thanks to his quirky observations on the animated 'Ricky Gervais Show' and the last ‘Idiot Abroad’ series (together with the accompanying book) Pilkington with his hangdog expression and dour, deadpan persona is now a popular and recognisable fixture on television and radio.

In this second 8 part series the stakes are raised as he undertakes a ‘bucket list’ which means lots of ‘Jack Osborne: Adrenalin Junkie’ style antics and with Pilkington in the thick of the action and out of his comfort zone this promises to be hilarious unmissable entertainment.

For those not yet familiar with him (and there cannot be very many) I highly recommend this. You will not regret it!

'An Idiot Abroad 2 ' starts its 8 week run on Friday on Sky One at 9pm.
